TRAGIC REALITY

Before I was a child

Borne to live with innocence

Such enthusiasm, the feeling

of endless laughter

No sorrows, no pains

Cherished moments

Not knowing the entire reality

Blind to the truth

Now, the feelings I have

never felt before

Grew to linger in me

Sorrows and pains beginning

to know what is the

entire reality

A tear to shed

for an everlasting pain

Drifting into the waves of life

Tossing back and forth

I am lost...

Lost in the midst of darkness...

State of Calamity

Last year, the outbreak of meningo coccemia was declared here in Baguio City. This news spread like a wildfire. The panic stricken parents begun to contact their children and kept on asking if they're ok. That's how they love us. Though they seem to show their care for us, we still tend to be carefree, not minding all their advices they are sharing to us. This panicking ended when at last they declared its gone.
But now, we are again experiencing its come back. The city was declared in State of Calamity, which again aggravated the occurring paranoia. Again, parents texted and even gave a ring to their children, urging them to take good care always, wear a surgical mask and drink vitamins. Some teenagers don't like and even quoted the ones wearing mask O.A. which we all know it means overacting. Well, I don't blame them. But, didn't they realize that YOU MUST EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED? Yes, it is transmitted through close contact but we can't tell the circumstances that may happen... There are many news about the death of persons who lived here. And the cause? Of course! Meningo Coccemia. But, we are not sure about these news. Maybe some are rumors and speculations, but some may be true.
Well, all we can do for now is to take good care for ourselves, have a balanced diet, never smoke and most of all, PRAY TO GOD! DON'T PANIC! Let's all hope that this would already end... HAVE FAITH!
